Singing has always been a passion and I have been actively singing for several years and have learned Hindustani Clasical music from Mrs. Mrinalini Arkatkar Ji for about 6 years. Listening to my Father's bhajan/Bhakti Geet recitals each morning have helped spark the bond of music in me and my entire family.
My musical journey started even before I knew myself. As per my family I used to recite poems and songs all day long when I was just learning to talk. The passion continued throughout. Also got an opportunity to sing at AIR Delhi. I recently started learning Hindustani classical music from Mrs. Mrinalini Arkatkar ji. Music is passion for me. Love every bit of it!!
Started listening to Hindi songs since my pre school days. Father was a music lover and so were my elder siblings. So music came naturally into my life at early age. Was always a keen listener though singing was a distant dream as my hoarse voice wouldn’t help. Started singing actively when reached 45 and ever since learning everyday by practicing hindi songs especially Rafi Sahab’s, whom I consider my teacher, my Guru.

I learned Carnatic music for a few years when I was in elementary school and then stopped pursuing learning but always sang at school functions. After many decades, took up singing again after my kids left home for college. I have completed a few Voice Gym courses online at Shankar Mahadevan Academy.
I’m also active on Smule and frequently record Hindi, Tamil and Telugu songs. I enjoy performing at local karaoke events.
